Tamar Bridge Club is a club for Contract Bridge players in Launceston, Tasmania.

The club conducts 3 sessions per week of Duplicate Bridge. Most sessions are walk in, however some Championship and multi-session events require pre-entry. Visitors are welcome at any of the walk in sessions.

The club conducts 2 Congress events per year: a two day Pairs Congress, usually in May, and a one day Pairs Congress, usually in August. For dates of upcoming events, check the Calendar.

BRIDGE CLASSES Bridge basics for beginners covering COMPETATIVE bidding, Wednesday nights 7pm to 9pm starting 27th July for 6 weeks ending 7th September. Total cost is $60 and includes a book by Audrey Grant called 'Bridge Basics 2 Competitive Bidding. The 30th anniversary club dinner will be held at Riverside Golf Club ( 6:30 for 7:00 ), Friday 21-October-2016. This will also be our Christmas dinner for 2016, hope to see you all there.

Location

SYSTEMS CARDS. Each pair should have at least one systems card on the table and available to the opponents. This requirement will be enforced for championship sessions. At the discretion of the Director, players who are relative beginners to the game or are playing at the club for the first time shall be exempt from this rule. In such cases the Director shall provide assistance and advice in filling out a card.
